Shaun Vivaris is an award-winning filmmaker from New York, where he was mentored by the late great Sol Stein. He is currently based in Los Angeles even though the pizza is nowhere as good.
With the goal of breaking Asian American stereotypes by putting AAPIs at the front of fresh genre-blending narratives, his work has screened at multiple international festivals including Cinequest, SciFi London, Visionfest NY, PAAFF, and is a recipient of the Canal+ Award from France’s Tres Court Film Festival. He is an alumnus of Visual Communications’ Armed with a Camera directing fellowship.
Shaun's first feature film LISA MANIA, produced in partnership with Visual Communications and SP Film Production had its world premiere at the 37th Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival and was aqcuired by Freestyle Digital Media and released on streaming and cable TV platforms.
His newest short film CONQUISTADOR AZUL had its world premiere at Cinequest 2022.
He is currently in development for his second feature film but is always looking for exciting projects and good people to work with. Let him know if you have either!
